Agility PR is five years old and has three senior consultants working out if its offices in Hertford, approx 45 minutes by train from London King’s Cross, Moorgate or Liverpool Street. Agility PR was founded by Miles Clayton who has more than 15 years of IT PR experience, most of it spent promoting voice, software, services and hardware brands. We gained a #43 position in PR Week Hi Tech Top 50 Table in our first year of trading. We are inside the top UK’s top 20 pure hi tech PR players. Agility PR continues to go from strength-to-strength with new hires and broadening skill base.Who We Are.
Agility PR is a Business-to-Business PR consultancy that has worked for a wide cross-section of technology and business services organisations in diverse markets from industrial automation to professional security, Human Resources software to network optimisation. We have worked with more than 30 IT hardware, software and services over the last six years to help them raise their profile with a view to increasing market share, branching out into new vertical sectors, engaging new distribution or integration partners, even find new funding for expansion. Our work goes beyond pure media relations to help you engineer the contacts and build the collateral which enables you to make a bigger impact, faster and to use this impact to do more business.
What Agility PR do
We take often complex offerings and then ensure that these offerings are presented to specific audiences in a way in which they understand both their functionality and benefits to their businesses. By spotting and filling communication gaps we help businesses address new vertical markets and identify valuable partners and influencers. The meat and drink of our work is media relations: writing press releases, by-lined articles, case studies, award entries, or creating a debate through a relevant social media forum or round table debate. If you need to build a network or eco-system of relevant partners then we can work to identify relevant contacts and help plug you in.
How Agility PR are different
We see writing as a core competency, right alongside strong verbal communication skills and we hire only people that are strong in both areas. Good writers can write for all audiences and requirements, the media, sales collateral, the web as well as specific sets of people from the most technical to the consumer. This versatility is important because we are just as likely to be writing an in-depth technical article as we are to be securing a corporate profile story for the CEO in Director magazine.
The ability to be able to manage this flex from specialist trade, professional or director-level publications, to national and broadcast requires a great deal of verbal skill but ultimately no matter how good a PR person is at selling a story if that story does not read well today it will not be carried. The media want and expect material to be ready to put straight into their publication. In the online media world they won’t even proof it before cutting and pasting it in. We have a good reputation amongst the journalists that we serve for delivering copy which hits the quality level and comes in on deadline time and time again – we pride ourselves on this.
Too often we hear about from companies working with larger agencies that the service they receive is patchy, they rarely see the person that pitched to win the business and they know that the person they deal with day-to-day does not have the skills, experience or domain knowledge to do the job for them. We are starting to take work off these big agencies that rely too heavily on the power of their brands and size of their organisation. I guarantee you will notice the difference in quality if you trial Agility PR.
